Taylor Swift says she loved the process
of creating an animated character for the new film "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax," which
required her to talk to herself.
"I always wanted to know how they put
that together," she added. "It turns out you're in the studio all by yourself,
talking to yourself, and creating a character based on what her voice sounds
like, which is a really interesting place to start - I just loved it, I thought
it was wonderful."
The movie was released on Friday, March
2, on what would have been the 108th birthday of Seuss. The writer and poet,
whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel, died at age 87 in 1991. "The Lorax"
film is based on his 1971 book. Swift, 22, portrays a girl named Audrey, which
is also the name of the writer's widow.
"I was so happy because I was in this
movie thinking, I just felt so lucky to get be a part of something like this,"
she said. "It's such a fun movie and its going to be so great for families and
for people to see this, and then you know they're going to walk out of the
theater thinking about their lives, and how to better preserve the
environment."
